Pathways to Employment
Pathways to Employment
In CALMS
A central ongoing focus of CALMS progressing its service users into employment and/or their mainstream social and economic activities.
CALMS has harnessed the skills and knowledge of valuable volunteers and beneficiaries who assist in maintaining and developing much needed services and programmes to the community.
In turn, we have provided meaningful opportunities, i.e. mentoring and support for individuals many of whom were unemployed, retired or semi-retired and were keen to support their community and CALMS.
CALMS has developed a positive relationship with the University of Ulster (Magee Campus) since 2006, to engage Psychology and doctorate students from the counselling psychology programme to conduct and carry out research and evaluations of CALMS.
We aim to provide meaningful placements for students and young people by assisting them on pathways to employment.
If you like to get involved in our project or you think we can assist you with a placement or volunteering opportunity, please get in touch by completing the inquiry form on our home page.
Volunteers are always welcomed.
